Just saw this on Raoul's site: Was going to suggest we reach out to Pitt transfer Marley Washenitz, a combo guard with a skill-set that remindes me of Meg McConnell and then I saw she committed to Arizona State earlier today. Talia Goodman is indicating that Jerni has committed to Indiana -- the one in Bloomington.

Jerni Kiaku is in the portal
This is a devastating loss as now we have no experienced PG to run the offense next year and may end up putting an extraordinary amount of pressure on a true freshman unless we bring in someone from the portal.
Again, what is going on with the women's basketball program??

Re: Jerni Kiaku is in the portal
We will need to kick the tires and get a guard from the portal that will be able to step into Jerni's shoes. Just looking, Destinee Wells, is in the portal from Tennessee. She previously played at Belmont and had a solid career with a lot of accomplishments, very similar to Meg McConnell, when you look at her bio. She is the type of player that we can make a strong pitch to, coming into a starting position, after sitting the bench at Tennessee. This is the type of player that has the skill set we need for next year, given that we are going to be very inexperienced and lack a true PG.
Eve Fiala is now in the portal out of Dayton. Fiala is 6-5 and a local player from Indiana (PA) high school.
Some background on Eve:
We need to make every attempt to get her to Duquesne, with her size.
