Any chance they just move the remaining walks-on onto the 15 man scholarship roster now that you cant have walk-ons anymore?   Or are they still looking for 2 more players?

The roster is the roster. There is no distinction between a scholarship and non-scholarship player. The limitation is simply 15 players maximum on the roster.

Note: this is all subject to the final judicial sign-off on the House v NCAA case.

That’s a great point Phoenix. The assumption pretty much everyone made was that approval of the settlement was a slam dunk. As more and more time goes by without it happening you have to wonder if it will, or if changes will be made and essentially start the whole process over again.

Yeah - now there is an article about Cam returning.  I guess Jakub and Jake are next?  Prolific portal has made weird changes.  I, like Phil, always assumed those four returned after portal deadline .  I don’t get it.  (As an aside, I am extremely glad they stayed!)

I really wasn’t being negative - just pointing out how weird things are now.  There are so many transfers, we do  stories because a guy is staying.  Now we have Jakub highlighted.  As I said, I am very glad these guys stayed.  I agree that giving returnees  good press is great.  I hope that clarifies my thoughts.

There is nothing bad about the articles confirming the return of last year's contributors.

As a fan seeking clarity, confirmation, & a sense of excitement for next season there is something wrong with the school remaining mum on the 6 presumed newcomers.

Are we to believe that none of these new players' commitment is a done deal?

Will Lawson's legal issues have no effect on his ability to matriculate?

Aekins's commitment was announced on social media 18 months ago. Since then, he finished his high school career & had a great season at a strong prep school. As far as I know, DU has never announced this player's signing. Why not and/or when will they?

My point is that keeping your fans in the dark while not giving them much to look forward to is poor PR & most other schools don't handle it the same way.

I  thought the powder clap announcement posts last season to be a little lame because of the failure to land Bronny, but at least it kept fans informed & engaged.
