Prep Hoops June 2025 Evaluation:
One of the best overall prospects I watched in my 1 day attending DC Live this weekend. Donovan is a physical specimen. Who impress with his all-out competitiveness. Legit Three-level scorer who can function on or off the ball. Skilled guard with elite length and explosiveness. Tough to contain, especially in transition. Strong first step and bouncy off one or two feet in space. Embraces contact in the paint…Donovan will be transferring to Oak Ridge (FL) for his senior year.
#4 overall player & #1 CG in VA 2026
#113 national ranking 2026

He has offers from some big boys, Illinois, Michigan, ASU, and a Florida St visit set up.
I'd say we have a better shot an this kid...
Maryland 2026 4-star forward Shane Pendergrass has also scheduled an official visit to Duquesne from September 25-27. The Duquesne staff made a visit to see Pendergrass on September 4th.
Pendergrass has scheduled visits with his final 6 schools:
George Mason: September 5th-7th
Louisianna Tech: September 12th-14th
LaSalle: September 20th-22nd
Duquesne- September 25th-27th
California- October 3rd/5th
Boise State- October 17th-19th
But glad they are trying. Sooner or later we'll get one of these kind of recruits, for a year.

Pendergrass's list of schools for official visits is an interesting one geographically, for school type & size, & competition level. I also find it intriguing that despite offers from some other strong programs such as VCU & Maryland, those schools didn't make his list.
I am impressed & encouraged by the 2026 recruits that Dru & staff have had & are having in for official visits.
