Offline The Dukes need to find a way to bring a victory home today. For perhaps the last time this year, the Dukes are favored to win a game. The oddsmakers have the Dukes as 3 point favorites (opened at 2.5); Pomeroy shows the Dukes winning this one 78-75 with a 60% probability of victory. Offline Our best chance of winning lies with Soko and McKoy dominating the paint, Mason getting good looks, and Colter not having a 1-10 shooting performance. Hoping for some discipline today. Go Dukes! Offline Under 6 to play in the first half. Guess who's winning. Offline Three on one break. Jeremiah Jones shoots a 3. Offline Soko really needs to find the open man when he's double teamed - which is most of the time he gets it anywhere near the lane. Offline He only has one play there: a soft layup. Does no one any good. Offline This game is absolutely disgusting. Offline We have the best 3-point shooter in the country. We have Colter (2-8), Soko, the Jones boys, and Gill heaving 3s. Down 10 with 2 minutes to a team with a 9 game losing streak. Heading to 0-3 in February. Offline McKoy never showed up today. Offline Our guards with the exception of Mason are horrible. Offline A couple weeks ago we started running what looked like a real offense, we were getting Soko and McKoy good looks inside, we were competitive against St. Louis and won a couple games. Now we're back to the same old crap. How many bad shots can Derrick and Jeremiah take. Soko's launching threes, McKoy's no longer a factor. Take away Mason and this team is unwatchable. Offline Coach Ferry sounded frustrated with his point guard play again today, but I did not see where he helped his team with his game day coaching. Today was a pivitol game and his team came out flat. How in the heck does tht happen. I have little hope now to think that we will win another game, and not finish in last place this season, and with the returning players I think we will be at the bottom of the league again next year unless Ferry transforms this tem with better players. Offline Our guards with the exception of Mason are horrible. With 3 minutes left Mason was the point with Colter,White and Ridenour on the bench. Maybe we will see more of that in the future. Offline We were picked last at the beginning of the year - we will be last. Offline So tell me how good do those 10 wins look? That was the goal when Amodio set this schedule. Fill it up with cupcakes and not get tougher with stronger opponents. We did some things well in beating the 300 RPI teams but good teams don't allow you to do that. This program needs to understand that losing against better teams is better than winning against the bottom feeders. To me, 10-12 isn't impressive, and I don't think they have a chance to win this season. Offline I was at the doubleheader today. Funny how I can see the men lose by 8 & the women lose by 10, yet feel like the women had a chance up till the end while the men never were in the game. Re: George Mason Gameday
Colter is 1-4 already from 3.
Soko's taken four shots and seven free throws, and has six points.
McKoy has taken one shot. He's in foul trouble.
Mason has taken two shots.
GMU has a 20% FT shooter who just hit two FTs.
Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Duquesne basketball is like groundhogs day the movie. Another last place finish next year same. The NCAA basketball community from ad's coaches & referees view Duquesne & GA as clueless! Already hearing that the administration doesn't financially support the program in order to win. Really? Not Coach Ferrys fault nor the players poor Charlie you have been done wrong!
Re: George Mason Gameday
We have no signed recruits for next year.
We have one probablly recruit.
Next year - year 3 - we will be next to last - what a plus over three years. It isn't because DU doesn't put the money in - not any more. We don't have coaches who can recruit.

Besides the aforementioned problems that other posters have noted, it seemed that the Dukes men never, ever, ever got a defensive stop.
So we have Ferry for 5 more years at $600,000 a year? Sorry folks, but I don't think we're getting $600,000 worth of coaching from this guy.
Oh, well.....at least the food was good at the Red Ring.

And you might as well add "Four or five guys will transfer at the end of the year." Not that they are great, but it will just help keep spinning the wheels and show that there is no continuity at DU!
