When was the last time you walked into the Cooper Fieldhouse in short sleeves?

Every home game I have to wonder if we ever practice at these baskets. If we don't, we should start. If we do, we should stop.

How can you fall behind by 30 in less than 15 minutes?

Senior Nights (or day in this case) usually go one of two ways. Either the team dedicates the game to the seniors and plays their best to send them off the right way; or they are too emotional and play horribly. I’d like to think it’s the second and maintain some optimism for the tournament. Unfortunately I can’t because it looks like the same team we’ve seen over the last few games but even worse. This team has been schizophrenic all season. Just when it seems they’ve established an identity, they’ve lost it. Let’s hope there’s still one more to come because if this team shows up on Thursday they’ll lose regardless of who the opponent is.

The way this is going, the Dukes are going to need to win the A10 tourney just to qualify for the CBI.

That play and the Guinyard steal and 3 should both be in the Top 10.

Of course with those "Graphics" (score..time etc) No way of knowing IF DU REALLY WON!!! Who handled the graphics was it a bunch of the sixth graders who perform at half time??

My kid says that's the second biggest comeback in NCAA history.

Tuned in at about 8 minutes into the game, watched a few minutes and nearly switched it off. By far the biggest comeback in DU history! It sure creates a positive direction from which to enter the tourney, whatever seed they are.

In the end we got both of the senior day situations I mentioned in the same game. What a perfect ending for a Dukes legend. Having it happen in what looked like a near capacity crowd makes it even better. Dave gave me the hardest high five I've ever received in Omaha. I wish I could have been at the Coop today to return the favor.

4th largest comeback in D1 history based on what I could find.

I'm failing so far in my attempt to try to find a definitive list, but fourth is what I'm at so far as well. 2018 Drexel was down 53-19 late in the first half before Tramaine Isabell led them back in the second half including the game winning free throws. 1950 Duke trailed Tulane 54-22 with two minutes left in the first half before Dick Groat led them all the way back for a 74-72 win. 1994 Kentucky came back from a 68-37 deficit early in the second half to beat LSU.

Max had a big game and very important rebounds, plus drives in the paint. If coach wants to win the tourny, he should look at everything that worked in that second half and who was on that court, because that second half, we out-scored them by 30 plus points. First and second half's were like night and day. And Max was a big part of it. Dixon had a monster of a game. What a finish.

I hope the way the comeback happened doesn't get lost in the excitement that it did. It wasn't because we shot the lights out. The Spiders shot 67% from behind the arc in the second half, we shot 21%. We won because we were +16 in the paint (42-26 including a 17-2 advantage in second chance points), +11 in points off turnovers (28-17), and +12 from the line (17-5 including a perfect 14 for 14 in the second half). This team is very good when it's doing the little things right. When they're standing around and forcing up threes they can lose to pretty much anyone.

Max is a very talented guy who can score from anywhere. When the guy is on you can ride him like Secretariat.

Max was good today. Not great, but good. He still was mediocre at best on D had one serious defensive lapse that led directly to a score and he couldn’t hit a jump shot BUT he did everything else right. I think Max should start on Thursday at the 3 spot and focus on rebounding (which he is outstanding at) and defense and take those plays to the hoop when they present themselves. If he’s a defensive liability in the first 3 or 4 minutes Dru can go back to Brandon but Max has a much higher ceiling than most on the team. But when he chucking bad shots and not hitting them and is a step or 2 too slow on defensive he really kills the team. And there’s always the chance he gets hot and we’ve seen what that looks like. We haven’t seen it enough but we’ve seen it

What a finish!!! Glad I didn't turn the game off in the first half.
Dukes play Rhode Island again. They played one of their best games against them then one of their worst..
If they win they play VCU.

Anybody who actually watched the game doesn't need a news story, we watched the storybook happen in real life. Having said that, it's a good thing the PG and the Trib have their stories up already (and I'm sure Zach will have something up on PSN soon) because ESPN has an AI article that doesn't even mention the comeback or senior day.

We're a better team than Rhode Island, it's just a matter of showing up ready to play. Our B game might even get it done against URI. After that, I'm happy to get VCU next. They've been playing the best ball in the conference over the last month or so, and we've played to the level of the competition all season long. Nothing short of an A+ effort will get it done against those Rams, but this team is capable.

What an amazing game. The Coop was absolutely rocking in the second half. Probably the biggest crowd of the year was on hand to watch an epic comeback. We've had a few great finishes this year (la Salle and the Bonnies) but this one was an absolute all timer. David winning it on a tip in at the buzzer was something out of a movie.
I loved coach taking a T today and it was great to see Max play some good minutes.

Probably the same amount of time that I walked out of Palumbo/Cooper after watching a 30 point comeback victory by the Dukes. Likely never. ![]()
