Re: Kerem Konan Commits to Duquesne

Ohh nice, finally! This is potentially exciting news, a frontcourt of Demir and Konan in the A-10 could have some real potential!

When it comes to Duquesne basketball I am usually  a classic "glass-half-full" kind of guy. Some have even called me wildly optimistic. Lately, however, I have been staring at the glass and wondering who spit in it.  The Konan signing makes me more optimistic.  If we can get another quality strong front court player, and possibly a sniper, that glass will be full of kool-aid and I'll be drinking it.

I'd consider this a big pickup. DJ's team is much more attractive now to get a couple more high end players to come on board. Great news.

I agree, Karem looks like at minimum he can replace Necas, and possibly have more upside.  He seems to move more fluidly than Jakub, and provide some much needed size and experience at the 4/5 positions. I’d say the roster still needs another couple of forwards.

Definitely on board with this kid!!
Now let's get a top-notch PG and another experienced forward who can score!

I believe Izaiah Pasha will be our point guard. Initially I thougjt hev was a SG but he actually played the point very successfully at Delaware. I don't expecy that Dru woll bring in another top notched point guard. I have no doubt Dru will bring another PF.

His movement while guarding smaller players is very encouraging as is ability to get/stay in a sound defensive stance.
