I like playing a game "Up" to FBS once a year but no more. I hate playing "down" to D-II.
How about some more games against Dayton, Fordham and more teams from Patriot and Pioneer Conferences?

I know FBS games help with athletic department budget, but if we could just do one that’d be great

I agree with these posts. Let's just grab the best paycheck we can for 1 game only. Zero or 1 lower division game only. I realize that really narrows the field, but as was pointed out, why not Dayton and Fordham? Use our A10 leverage somehow. We communicate with these teams a lot. I've got a personal one, Bucknell. We had a great football and basketball rivalry on the brink of happening, and now we don't play them in either sport. How would a game together not be a good thing for both of them? Just get it done.

One FBS game is fine. Two or more guaranteed losses on the schedule each year can’t be good for the kids confidence. This weekends game is going to be a bloodbath.

Very much agree with all above. One FBS game will cut the chance of our guys getting hurt and out for what we should be focussing on. Also agree that playing D-2 does NOTHING for us than a scrimmage.
Dayton, Fordham, Bucknell Georgetown, etc were great games in the past and should be again.

Great discussion folks!!! Blowout scores in the news don't help. One money game sounds like a nice challenge and we actually won one and should have beat Hawaii a couple years back too.
Two a year is a risk of the team's well being and confidence. D-2 games don't make up for it and are a waste of time and reputation.

FWIW per fbschedules.com, Youngstown State and Mercyhurst have a home-and-home series scheduled. Although we have won once, Youngstown State has never played us in Pittsburgh in 8 games.
