All W. PA Backcourt - Possible

With VA Tech firing their coach - could the Dukes go after another hometown boy in Montour's Devin Wilson. Wilson was recruited by the Dukes under both Everhart and Ferry. Devin is a true point guard who started all 30 games as a freshmen for VA Tech in ACC. He averaged 9.2 points a game and 3.3 rebounds a game. At 6-4 gives good size to the point guard position. To make room for the transfer Ferry would have to get rid of one of his guards. A great opportunity for Colter to transfer to a smaller Div. I school sit out a year to gain more basketball knowledge. Could be a win-win situation Duquesne gets a true point guard to team with other home towner in Mason and LIU gets the guard they always wanted.

Re: All W. PA Backcourt - Possible

Would Wilson want to leave the ACC?

Re: All W. PA Backcourt - Possible

A transfer doesn't help. Who's going to play the point next year under your scenario?

Re: All W. PA Backcourt - Possible

Ferry said Masons future is probably at pointguard so you would think he might be playing there some next year.

Why would you want your best shooter to play point guard? Wouldn't you think shooting guard would be better for a shooter?

You'll get no argument from me. Have to ask Ferry that one.

Re: All W. PA Backcourt - Possible

Agreed. Ask him why he also thinks a 25% shooter with limited range needs to shoot more, if you get the chance.
