6'8 forward. What's the odds he's playing center for us next year?

Says he is 6'9'', PF, but yeah, sounds like our center.   Offers from S Florida, Illinois and LSU.   From PA, so maybe he would rather stay closer to home???   At least they are after bigs.

According to Pittsburgh Sports Now -  He is 6'9  (maybe he grows another inch by the time he signs somewhere (

That site listed four other  offers -- South Florida, Illinois, Youngstown State, Bryant --  Talk about "being all over the place in recruitment"  Those 5 schools might be on 5 different talent levels -  and five different geographic locations although Youngstown is close to DU as far as geography goes.

What else do we know about him?  Any intel as to his scoring and rebounding numbers?
Looks like some stiff competition for his services.

From Africa to France to the US.   If he accepts an offer, I think we rejoice.   Him and Hima, could become "foreign relations" for DU hoops.   Wreck the league.   His home country neighbors Hima's.

Never know.

The school he goes to is a real hoops factory. HE is listed officially at 6'9" with a ridiculous 7'4" wingspan.

This is a recruiting update Tweet from 2-19
"Forward 2022 Halil Barre is gaining interest from Marquette, Memphis, Georgetown, Loyola of Chicago & others. His play down the stretch has been something to watch & college program across the country are starting to take notice "

He's a 4 star recruit with offers from other mid majors.  This is the type of recruit Keith needs to be working on.

I see RMU gets to host Quaker Valley vs Lincoln Park 4A playoff game.   Should have been us.   But I guess RMU is closer to those schools than the city.   Still, the talent on those 2 teams is greater than what we have now.   Would have been nice to expose them to the new fieldhouse, and have a packed house.

A big guy out of Scotland with a good midrange game? Maybe Kieran Achara can help recruit him.

luckymed, the school he goes to is Scottland Campus in Pennsylvania.  I believe the kid is from New York. I thought the same thing the first time I heard the name of the school.
