Duquesne Dukes Fan Forum / Worrying about the UC IRVINE game

UC IRVINE ranked 61 by Ken pom, Dukes at 81,this would be a signature win,a real confidence builder going
down to Marshall on the road the next week. The loss to Nebraska is done and our fans need to show the team
we are Duquesne Strong.I looked at seating chart and plenty of seats available..Need to fill lower bowl,please.

Ask your friends and family to attend,this will be a real good college basketball game.Hopefully Irvine will be a step slow due to the traveling.Go Dukes!

Will be there. I used to live in SC near UC Irvine. The Anteaters. We should have a home court advantage. Big time zone difference and coast to coast travel takes it's toll. Plus the Dukes have had a few days off, so here's hoping for a nice win.

It wont be easy, few remaining will be. Cleary should be an easy W, otherwise, strap in for 40 minutes.
Any chance Williams is back? Thought I heard a 2 week timetable on him.

Irvine with 6 wins against good to decent competition, with closest game 8 points. They played 8 games in Taiwan in August so they are probably in mid season form by now. Going to take a big effort to get this one.

Looked at UCIs stats,good size,a team that shoots the ball well,rebounds well and plays good defense.This might be the best team Dukes will play this season.

This out of conference schedule is brutal!

If you went to the tip off event, one of the things that was said was that for the Dukes to get to the NCAA, the out of conference schedule has to be competitive. Gone are the cupcake days which did nothing but give false hope. However, if we don't win some of the "tougher" games then we know objectively where we stand.

If the Dukes were to lose this one, they will have to put together a really long win streak & win 2 in the A-10 tournament to earn an at large. After having lost to Princeton, Nebraska, & the Anteaters, there just won't be enough opportunities for quality wins left on the schedule because the A-10 lacks Top 40-60 level teams.
