I didn’t see the game, but I see from the stats that the Dukes gave up 50-points in the second half! That points to defensive issues in the second half. Similar to some of the teams under Dambrot that couldn’t get stops in the second half!

Fifty points allowed in second half! That’s tough to overcome.

Gianini was a pretty good coach, but I think he may be an even better announcer. The Dukes are deep and have a lot of talent, but as I expected there have been some growing pains for a first time coach trying to figure out how to work all that talent in. 0-2 is a disappointing start, but I'm confident no one is more disappointed than Coach Joyce. I do expect to see both teams in the tourney in March, so that lessens the pain a little bit. If the light bulb goes on this team could be very good, but the sooner the better.

Edwards reminds me of Primo Spears. Never saw a shot he didn’t like. 0-10….Never an assist. No defense. Look at the box score. Look at time played vs. other players with more points, rebounds & assist 1/2 the time played. Coach Dru time to hold players accountable. If you don’t come DePaul 0-3. This team does have talent.

I noticed, that every drive in the paint, Princeton over played and collapsed 3 on one, but, not just Edwards, we didn't have the court vision to see who is open? On the other hand, Princeton drove the lane with the vision to pass to the open uncontested 3.. Not all the time but at the end, it added up. Edwards should go into every game with the mindset to have twice as many assist than points. Not the other way around. We just played two very good teams, but we have way more talent. We just beat ourselves. Lets win at DePaul and get on track. .

I totally agree Napa. You have to appreciate the irony of a Big East team being a breather after games against Ivy and A-Sun teams. Hopefully it turns out to be just that.
