Funny, I thought SLU had the “amazing” recruiting season and they were supposed to be the best.  And the Bonnie’s?  They weren’t supposed to be any good.  The new coaches are taking their lumps. The experienced coaches up top.

Good news  on moving up in the A-10.
The bad news is there are 352 Division I men’s basketball teams in the country…

Pretty sure the Dukes will not end up as the 26th worst team in the country lol. Can see them winning their next nine and being in top 125 or so after that. One at a time.

Ever since the NET was created, the early rankings are always super skewed against teams with a lot of losses. A couple wins couple send Duquesne back to the low 200s/high 100s.

KenPom vs (NET) Rankings:
#26 Dayton                       (#39 NET - 1)
#44 VCU                           (#74 NET - 5)
#75 Loyola                        (#68 NET - 4)
#83 Rhode Island              (#55 NET - 2)
#87 George Mason           (#82 NET - 6)
#88 St. Bonaventure         (#58 NET - 3)
#89 Saint Joseph's           (#133 NET - 10)
#112 Davidson                  (#111 NET - 7)
#128 La Salle                    (#124 NET - 8)
#132 George Washington (#129 NET - 9)
#149 Saint Louis               (#236 NET - 12)
#166 Massachusetts         (#227 NET - 11)
#195 Richmond                 (#258 NET - 13)

The next three should tell us a lot. They should all be wins at home based upon the talent level of the Dukes vs competition.

You’re right, Bluff Hunter. In another month, all of the analytics will pretty much align.
