It was a fun week of A10 hoops, highlighted by two awesome games that went into OT on Tuesday. Loyola and SLU are tight in the final minutes right now as well.

Ramblers winning just goes to show this league is up for grabs. VCU and George Mason are certainly the cream of the crop but 3-14 is a crap shoot.

Bonehead plays kept this game close and gave Dayton momentum going into the half. More Necas, Edwards, and Hronsky in the second half. Crawford might be getting too many minutes at this point. Been a bit of a defensive liability. Team needs less dribbling and more crisp passing. Dayton guards are going to get away with stripping fouls all day. Playing right into their hands when you over dribble. Dukes well rested so no excuse not coming away with a win here.

Looked like a rugby scrum under the basket with no call. Dayton has the momentum now gotta turn it around quick.

Then you have Malachi Smith complains about an obvious foul call, which means Dayton will get next dozen calls. Tough watching this crap.

Crunch time got Rozier, Edwards and Corbett in.   🤣🤣😂😂

Why do i care if the coach doesnt?

Dayton can foul corbett every time and win by double digits.

Didn't expect the win going in and even though Crawford fouled, it might have been a smart play if our last second 3 hit.  But the Dukes played well, good enough to win on the road.

Necas and Crawford were just awful today, but Corbett's 3 for 9 foul shooting and the overall lazy play at times by certain guys cost them this game. Guys that can't make a foul shot shouldn't be fed the ball late in a tight game especially when you have depth. That Corbett miss on the front end of that one on one when the Dukes were up late was a total killer.  Hronsky should have been on the court much more in the last ten minutes. If this team could hit 70 percent plus of their free throws they'd be 8-4 or 9-3 in league play and probably 17-8 or even better overall. Instead were fighting to stay out of the first round game. I think it's ashame that WiIborn hasn't been much more of an emphasis inside. So tired of watching him and Dixon (who looks totally lost in the offense) out front setting picks for bricks. So much good talent and depth and this is where we are? Giannini seemed perplexed why Joyce and the Dukes with so much talent have yet to find themselves. He also said prior to the game that times running out on figuring it out already. That's for sure. Disappointing.

Good effort, but just a little too sloppy to win on the road. 14 turnovers leading to Dayton’s 23 points off turnovers (vs Dukes 6 points). Points in paint favored Dayton 40-26 and fast break points were 17-4 in Dayton’s favor. All topped with an abysmal 3-15 from 3 in the 2nd half leads to a one point loss.

Sloppy play and free throw shooting. When you lose a game by one and a player shoots 3-9 from the line that's what happens. Dukes could have been sloppy and won if they could make a foul shot and/or the coaching staff reminded the players of the score and situation in this one. That's why you have certain assistant caoches. Time, score, fouls, possession arrow, and timeouts. Maybe Cam wasn't listening. Who knows. Feel bad for him though.

No idea why Ray and others keep pushing a false narrative that this team is loaded with talent, but coaching is holding them back.  It’s just not true!  Some guys will have a good game from time to time-to-time, but Tre Dinkins is the closest guy you have to a consistent player.  No scoring at all from bigs, No consistent point guard play, and of course notoriously poor free throw shooting.  The coaches were good enough to put them in a good position to win on the road at Dayton, but players need to execute!

It just seems like everyone on this team brings something positive but we don't have a true complete player who scores, rebounds, and plays defense on a game in and game out basis. Pretty much everyone has had a few really good games but no one does it consistently. It's frustrating because since January it has felt like we are really close to being a good team but can't put it all together. The Richmond and Fordham games are going to haunt us for tournament seeding.

Anybody watching this team or playing against this team realizes they are talented and deep. Gave Dayton the game today not because of lack of talent. Lose by one on the road at the A-10 darlings. Refereeing like always sucked, but expected. We're 25 games in and this coaching staff still can't figure out the right combos. Hronsky on fire and you sit him for the next 15 minutes. Crawford struggling and you keep him on the court for an additional 10 minutes of the first half. Corbett can't hit a foul shot to save his life and you have him on the court up 5 with 5 minutes to go. Edwards make one bad play and he sits 15 minutes. Stupid stuff.

I guess I just read  most of the  one sided (down sided)  views of this game. But first, remeber Dayton beat us on our court by 20 plus earlier this season, and realize,  no one wins at Dayton.  Dayton plays in an arena of 13,000 sell out screaming fans. It's likely the harshest place to play in all of D-1. These Dukes should have been wiped out in this game?  They had the chance to steal the game with the last bucket. Almost no one gets that close to winning there. I wasn't mad to lose this one, but the mindless loses to the cupcakes on our schedule pissed me off. Going forward, DJ and his team know they can beat this team in the A-10 tourney. And getting the bye for the past few year didn't win the A-10 tourney, in fact it's looking like it's better to win against weaker teams by playing all 4 games and be acclimated to the arena and play better than the teams with byes because the bye for teams  seem to have those teams a bit rusty and are not familiar to the court. It's how we won last year and it's still likely JD's team can do it this year. This was a good game for the Dukes.

Credits to the Dukes. Played great. Only criticism is my Slovak 5th cousin sat on the bench 2nd half.😱

I agree with everything you just said, especially, in the second half Hronski is better on defense and unless we are in front, too much Rozier. Necas did a lot that doesn't show in the stats. Dayton dished on drives to the hoop that our bigs didn't adjust to, but JD would be smart to study those drives and incorporate that style into our offense, because that is very hard to stop. And Corbett had better practice foul shots daily about 100 a day, because he is good at driving and drawing fouls but it's insane that he can't hit FT at about 60 percent.

Unfortunately if you finish in the bottom six you'll need to win 5 games in 5 days which is virtually impossible.

Just got back to Pittsburgh. 8 hours of driving in a day for a 1 point loss. Ugh.
