I just made a new topic at the same time. Play your best, don't 4 plus minutes into this game sub out your best  and kill our momentum,  and let these kids play loose and take the open shots and run transition because all year half-court sucks.

We have had GM's number lately and this is a must win game in my opinion. Let's Go Dukes!

BluffHunter, you might want to take another look at that one.

George Mason is a terrific defensive team. They are ranked 16th in the country in defensive efficiency; 2nd in effective FG%, 8th in 3 point % and 7th in 2 point percentage. Somebody for the Dukes is going to have to have a career shooting day for the Dukes to pull the upset.

George Mason is average offensively, but does an outstanding job in getting to the line. Maybe we get a referee crew who swallows their whistles today.

The betting line is down to the Dukes being only 2½ point home underdogs, so there is some money belief for the Dukes.

Same inexplicable sub pattern at the 15 minute mark, I just don't get it.  Rozier should be getting 7 min a game, all he does is dribble around and then he fouls the 3 point shooter.  An Corbett is so easy to defend since he can't go right, only left.  Matus has to shoot better, he's missed three open looks in a row.  I love Crawford, Wilburn, Neces and Dinkins ,who Joyce has inexcusably left him on the bench too long, while playing the ZERO offense and defensive liability Rozier, so now a 9 point lead down to 2 point lead with 4 minutes left in the first half.  Edwards has made some nice assists and Dixon looks pretty good too.

Why does Corbett get more run than Prolla?

That was a truly impressive performance in an important win. Congrats to Max, Tre, Dixon, & Cam. Go Dukes!

I find Rozier harder & harder to take every game.

Almost posted the same thing!

Good win. Let’s see some momentum into the A10 Tourney.

Can’t believe this is the same team that lost to Libscomb, Hampton, St. Peter’s, Maine and SD State.

Duquesne will have a better record against Quad 1 and 2 teams than Quads 3 and 4.

It's a good thing we have a lot of bigs because they had to foul being aggressive against their bigs. Their bigs are a truck load. Dinkins and Crawford stepped up and hit 3's when the clock was short and Dinkins seemed to do it at will. Everyone had "smart fouls" that stopped some fast breaks and easy baskets.  Coach Dru's subbing in looked very logical today.  And Rozier with a lead in the second half is at his best. We really match up well against them and I can see, if the tourney schedule has us face them the third day having a chance against a solid team like this makes the finals possible. .

It was also great to see the 1977 team out there today. Norm looks great, and Dinkins family got to watch him really step up today on Senior Day. Best game of the year.

Unfortunately, I missed this one live. But I watched the replay at home not knowing the result.  Trey Dinkins is an assassin.  Cold blooded.  Cam was as big a difference maker as anyone today hitting those shots early keeping the lead going. I’m still a big MATUS fan, but max has surpassed him on the death chart for me right now.  Matus still playing good defense but when his shot is not falling, he can’t be in there and I credit Dru with realizing that and playing Max more. For all the abuse we’ve thrown at Dru for his substitution pattern, and rightly so, today he got at least that one right

Losing to Lipscom is nothing to be embarrassed about. They have had a very nice season currently sitting at #84 in KenPom. That's one spot behind George Mason &  better than 11 A-10 teams.

SD State has also had a good season. Going into today they were #105 in KenPom.

Your point is valid on those other teams & I think adding Richmond, Fordham, & UMass only strengthens it.

A very good win today for sure.  Dinkins, Crawford, Edwards, Dixon exceptional today.  Wilburn also good and Neces good even when not scoring points.  That being said, I am sorry Rozier is still nothing more than a 10 min a game guard in the A-10, let's just face facts here. Great kid, can help in limited time, but I would like to see what damage this team could do with a true A-10 level PG and play Dinkins exclusively at the 2.  Corbett forces things a lot and the problem is, as noted by many, that fouling him is the easy way out for the other team.  He plays D and can rebound, but his lack of diversity offensively by only being able to go left, with no outside shot, and then being the foul shooter he is ends up being a handicap.

Kareem Rozier is #7 in the country at assist/turnover ratio. 3.33.

Rosier does a great job protecting the lead. Solid foul line, great passer open man & a solid press breaker. If however, the Dukes are chasing a big lead you got to go with a bigger lineup. Coach Dru was a master chess player yesterday👍
