There’s some highlights if anyone’s interested. Obviously he doesn’t have much from BYU having only played 5 minutes a game. So those are from prep school, but at least it gives an indication of his game. Very little defense or passing shown in the highlight reel, but he can definitely score at all three levels like the PSN article said. I hated to see Tre hit the portal (and this might sound like sour grapes given the timing) but if we can bring Crawford to the bluff it seems like a definite trade up.
I also checked out his BYU profile here: https://byucougars.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/player/elijah-crawford
The picture gives an idea of his athleticism (just ignore the fact that it’s obviously at Midnight Madness or some similar type of event). Another interesting note from that page is that he has some family history in Pittsburgh basketball (even if it came in Oakland). His cousin is Vonteego Cummings.
Also to clarify something from the PSN article, while he did do two years of prep school in New Hampshire, he’s actually from Augusta, Georgia. I was shocked a player from New Hampshire was recruited by almost half of the SEC, but it makes more sense now. The more I find out about him the more I want him in a Dukes jersey. Here’s to hoping we have to figure out nicknames or something for an all-Crawford backcourt.
