Trib Article Thanks CLK. I guess Mackall was at the game. ImpressivešDid not listen to the game but the box score can shed some light on the players performance and Dru Joyce manipulation of his players. Edwards at this point is the 2024 version of Savrosov. Rozier FG 0-7. 27 minutes but he did have 6 ast. Cut playing time to 15-20 minutes. Necas & Hronsky need more minutes.Necas 4-6 FG & 4 rebounds. Hronsky 3-5 FG 2 rebounds. Dixon struggles on offense as well as Chabi but 6 & 4 rebounds as well as rim protectors very good. Corbett 36 minutes should be reduced. He is not that strong to maintain those minutes. Good news reading Mackalls story is Coach Dru apparently showed some passion in the coaching box. He has to learn the head coach trade before A10 conference play or this will be a long year. Again unlike Mackall I was not at the arena. Sounds like there's a suspicion of point-shaving on this thread. I doubt that. The way that usually works, a leading scorer on a clear favorite is bribed by a bettor who places a bet on the underdog. The player misses shots on purpose, his team still wins, and the bettor wins because the favorite didn't win by enough. First, we haven't been a clear favorite. Second, no one is scoring enough points to shave. Third, with NIL money around, who needs bribes? I am not raising point-shaving in regard to this team. In Virginia the legislature prevents college betting in regard to all the Virginia teams if you reside in Virginia or the betting site verification confirms location of the bet. Last year the Dukes swept all the Virginia teams.oh well Money lost š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬I personally think all the states should adopt this rule which would limit point shaving. Back in the old days with college betting going thru the local bookies less accessibility for the college players. Again I think this team has other issues but NOT point shaving. This team began practicing in the summer.I am in shock as to the lack of fundamentals in regard to defense,rebounding,foul shooting, passing etcā¦etcā¦In the age of free agency via the transfer portal you canāt struggle to lesser teams prior to A10 conference play. Chabi, Dixon, Nacas, Jake, Matues,Dinkins.If Coach Joyce does not figure this out he will also own the worse winning percentage after he gets fired in 2027. Nice guys finish last. Plus minus, shots, assists & rebounds. Dinkins has to play point. Obviously, nobody sees everyday practice. But after 4 games a blind man including the announcers questioned Edwards shot selection. This is on Coach Dru & his staff. Chemistry is a non factor with the introduction of the new players. I know Dixon, Jake, Nacas, Chabi, Haronski have game. The good news is the majority of Duquesne fans did not see this game or the next 2 remaining AAU games. The Dukes look lost. Just signed up with Flo Sports for the month. Thank God A10 signed with espn+ in order to cancel the monthly subscription itās pure hell. Oh well I can further raise my blood pressure by watching the Dukes play little defense & run AAU offense. 3 days will tell the 2025 season. Hopefully Flo Sports does not screw up the stream. Good news tonight. Dinkins has to be the Dukes point guard. Sooo obvious. Kareem good kid but itās obvious at this point. Why was Kareem playing the 2 spot when Dinkins was point or another guard Horansky, should have been at the 2 spot at crunch time. I love Wilburn. Dixon MIA? This team has talent but Coach Dru step up your game. Dinkins at point could right the ship. Very positive night if Coach Joyce wakes up & sees the obvious. Unfortunately, whichever assistant Coach is running the offense Coach Dru may have unfortunately put his faith in Matt Canada II. I do not see this ship redirecting course based on the simplicity of this AAU basketball scheme. Good points in this thread about Dambrots quote about if the shots are not falling every player on the court can play defense. If I am not mistaken Coach Dru last year was responsible for the defense. This I have faith in a turnaround come A10 play.

Here is one thing I like about those who will play the next game. These are strictly my opinions. I will leave Jake out due to his injury (and he was playing best on the team).
Kareem - Our only true ball handler
Tre - Stand still shooter
Jahsean- Bull to the basket
David - Rim protector
Maximus - Athletic
Matus - Shooter
Jakub- Good court sense
Chabi - Improving offensively
Cam - Aggressive
Here is one thing that hurts team play
Kareem - Size on defense (can live with that)
Tre - Too slow in the things he does
Jahsean - Picking the right spots to attack
David - Not being the physical presence needed
Maximus - Where has his game gone
Matus - Rebounding needed
Jakub - Be an aggressive offensive guy who looks to score
Chabi - a little better positioning
Cam - more offensive awareness
This team has talent. If Tomlin can change QBs while winning, we should renew the lineup even if it means some players change positions. For the next game, these are the guys I would start and who would play at least 25 minutes:
Kareem - Our only true point guard
Matus - Maybe our best outside shooter
Chabi - Progressively playing better
