Yeah but I do think our crowds have brought a lot of energy at key times for us despite the travel issues.  It's definitely been a grind to get to all these places though.  I love the RMU arena but it's on the whole other side of the city from where I live.

I normally appreciate the announcer trying to get the crowd into the game but he has bad timing-

For example, he tried to stir up the crowd just after TDM just made one of the worst passes I've ever seen directly to a GM player that wasn't even close to anybody from Duquesne.

He's just ticking me off asking for a big cheer after a boneheaded play,

Hey coffee, Thanks for the feedback.

Tonight was the first time I ever did it off a mistake but I felt I wanted to keep momentum going for us and not let mistakes spiral.  Usually I do it off a made basket.

Coach Burt was definitely yelling at them to push the pace throughout the game.

Caleb Davis hit one.  :-)

Still undefeated!

Their play by play guy is doing a pretty great job though.  I think that's what made the halftime show standout a bit more.

This Loyola halftime show is......something

Brutal start....I have faith we can turn this around though.

Appreciate it Jake and Jack!

Jack, sorry I didn't log in to see this until tonight.  Been a busy weekend announcing games for various Duquesne sports.  I usually get to Rooney Field about an hour before a football game and chill in the press box.  One of these games We'll have to find a place to meet to chat a few minutes ahead of the game.

It took a couple days from the logo announcement to get used to the logo because it was SO different from what we had before.  I got tshirts for myself, my wife and my mom, and I picked up a couple of hats for myself as well.

Some coworkers at the full time job were checking out the new logo and said "That's pretty cool!"

I know the logo also has some detractors on my social media posts as well but you're never going to please everyone.

I can't wait to see the new uniforms with the new logo on it.

PS. Big time kudos to Dan for the way he handled Senior Day. Showed the Seniors love which they deserve! Congratulations to the Seniors.

I appreciated him communicating to me that each player was coming out of the game for the last time so I could show acknowledge them on the PA mic.

I believe that Mulder is spot on for Mossie’s cheer as I remember it. Really fired us up at the Arena and Palumbo. The cheerleaders sort of got it in that video but was too fast and not complete. Would be amazing to bring it back. Out of respect I would assume that his family would be ok with that? I think Balog should do it! :-)

I've been quietly contemplating how to get this chant going again at games.  I want to be respectful to the originator of course.

Maybe we need a bunch of us old alums at the game to get together and do it?

Being ready was my biggest fear.  I like the idea someone said of having a prominent fan (like Jim Balog) lead it rather than me.  Recording someone to play it on the big screen to lead the chant would be cool too.  This would work even if said person couldn't make the game that day.

Having the current Red & Blue Crew, cheerleaders and Dukettes ready to do it is key too.

Great atmosphere! I thought the PA announcer did a great job getting the fans excited. Has he asked the crowd to get rowdy in the past? I loved it!

Simms,

I've been starting to push the envelope a bit on the PA this year since so many other schools do it now.  I don't want to overdo it too much but today's game seemed to call for it in some spots and I think the crowd responded very well to it.

The NCAA doesn't want us cheerleading too much on the mic, at least that's what I've been told in the past.

LOVED the atmosphere today guys.  Keep it coming!

I've really enjoyed the atmosphere at the Palumbo Center these first two games.  The crowds have been into it and I think the players are feeding off it well.

I had a hunch at halftime we could make a comeback.  These kids refuse to quit and are so much fun to watch.  I'm trying not to get too excited too quick, but this could be a special year if they keep playing like this.
