Good team coming into the palumbo tomorrow. If your in the area, please come out and support this team. They have now won 4 in a row, have talent, and are entertaining to watch. We saw what this team was able to do with the crowd behind them against Pitt. These kids are working hard and deserve our support regardless of what we think of the current coaching regime. Let's go Dukes!

I'll be at the game tonight and I just want to say that I am excited about this team. I know there is a lot of negativity on this board and I get it. But this team is improving and, even though I've only been a fan since I was a freshman in 07, its been a long time since we've seen a dukes team with this many promising underclassmen.

When you have basically a brand new team (especially with many underclassmen like I said) you have to expect the inconsistency, but the flashes are there. As long as they continue to improve and gel as a team as the season goes on I'll be happy. Then the next 2-3 years start to look really exciting.

Here's hoping that improvement continues tonight, especially so we can shut up those VCU fans - see you all at the game

I see this is your 1st post so welcome! We all love DU basketball. Okay, the other shoe...this is NOT a brand new team or a team with sooo many underclassroom. Don't get fooled by the Ferry B.S. He has been here for 5 years without a winning record and if you go back and find a previous post, you will see how we have seniors and juniors. Every year Ferry says we are young...um...can't be young every year!

Alright FAM, lets do the math. Percentage of total minutes played - 35.6% from players who were on the team last year, 34.8% from players who are playing as junior or senior eligibility.

What about last year? 86.8% from players who were on the team the previous year, 64.8% from players who were junior or senior eligibility.

And don't worry I know bs when I see it

Okay - I'll accept that. I am good with your facts. So then let me ask you this. Go back and look at the rankings/RPI of the OOC teams Duquesne played last year, which is the only reason they even had an even record. That hasn't been disputed even by those who accept the losing program and can't see it is the coach. Since the amount of upper class men were at those percents, why couldn't they win? and the year before? and the year before? and the year before? He recruited all of the players from his second through this, his fifth year and hasn't had a winning season yet. Also, let's use some logic with your stats which I do appreciate. Division I teams who don't have mostly juniors and seniors can't win? You know that isn't true. Anyhow, this man's coaching has been a failure. I would love it if he would take us to the NCAA or even the NIT this year. He does have Juniors and Seniors on this team - who HE recruited. He is responsible. The program is a mess. I hope those who blindly think he is not responsible for this team these past 5 years - will admit he needs to go if we don't have a winning record. If he does, I will admit that I expected him to win and shouldn't have in year 1, 2, 3, and 4 and that this 5th year is what he needed. Please remember, I want them to win- I don't believe this coach can do it and he hasn't proven it yet.

Both of you have a point. The team is young, as Ferry is playing the new guys, not the old ones. That said, we could accept this as rebuilding if last year's more experienced team had been more successful. Just 3 more wins down the stretch changes the entire narrative (20-14 instead of 17-17).

Whoa slow down there guy. Why are you asking me all this, I didn't bring any of that up. All I said was the team was new and young - the facts back me up.

Apparently people will go off on you if you say you're excited. This board is insufferable at times.
