Jeff Capel is a god already up there.   He cant do anything wrong.   Already talk of them returning to the days of being ranked #1 in the polls.   So if you thought the last few years were bad, think again, we could be undefeated in January and might get a snibbet at the bottom of page 5 sports.

Different Topic:  We talked about this last year...Coach has to stop playing Sincere 45 minutes a game (It was a joke!).  I know they are thin now, and we know his knees had some surgery, but he just can't keep doing that.  I even thought he played him too much against WVU.  It was an exhibition game for Heaven's sake.  His obsession with playing him, if he doesn't lighten up on the minutes, is going to cause a problem at least mid-way through the season.  His knees won't hold up all year.  You heard it here first!!!

Fam, I am totally with you on the minutes of Sincere. It's a scrimmage for crying out loud. How about trying to find out who else can run the point. How about trying Dunn Martin running the point and Norman and Buckley at the two. Is Dunn Martin really just a shooting guard at 5'8" ? Buckley seemed comfortable out there, give him more minutes in the scrimmage. WVU was using everyone, even players that they probably are going to redshirt. Is Ellis that far behind that he can not get a few minutes ? I was not impressed at all with this scrimmage, and I really did not care about the outcome or score. I just wanted to see improvement and some players we have not seen yet. I did not see much improvement as I previously stated and would of liked to see Ellis.

I think KD wanted a win.
That would give DU some prestige and momentum
going into the Princeton game. Perhaps more media coverage.
The Dukes are a 6 1/2 point favorite for today up from an opening
5 1/2 which I find interesting.  Bettors must see something in the Dukes.
I agree about SC-those knees will hurt in Feb if he  continues playing all those minutes.

Disappointing start but things picking up a bit.  Duquesne is getting more success driving / pounding it down low rather than settling for outside shots.  Need to pick up the defensive intensity. 

Definitely won that 6 minute segment (9:44 - 3:30 in the first half) to tie it up.  Much better mix of inside/outside game & driving the ball on the offensive side + much better defensive effort.

Defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Yea, only time they seemed to pick it up was that 6 minute segment Duquesne came back.  Princeton getting the ball down low too many times.

Woah, I'd say.  I had to step away since halftime.  Dombrat must have made some serious halftime adjustments.
 

Steele looks like a real fine pick up based on what I saw in the first half.  I just looked up his bio and was surprised to see he's from my home state of Iowa.  Don't see that too often in PA hoops.

What a great defensive effort, and turn around, by the Dukes in the second half against a good Princeton team.  Go Dukes!  

I actually talked to Sincere about 6 weeks ago and I asked him about his knees.  He told me that the surgery fixed the problem and his knees are 100% and he said that he should have no knee issues whatsoever this season.  I hope he is correct.
