Article about Dukes v Princeton 🦗🦗🦗🦗That would be crickets my friends. Jeff Capel is a god already up there. He cant do anything wrong. Already talk of them returning to the days of being ranked #1 in the polls. So if you thought the last few years were bad, think again, we could be undefeated in January and might get a snibbet at the bottom of page 5 sports. Offline Phoenix, good work as usual; Hook and Fan I think your points are spot on, especially long term season with SC. Iron Duke, what else is new in the Burgh, you would think Capel is the second coming. I looked in both the PG and Trib and u are right my friend - crickets. Let's make everyone in this town pay attention. Just win and keep winning! Go Dukes. Pistol will of course be in the house tonight, as will the GMan and Inky. Offline Phoenix, Fam, I am totally with you on the minutes of Sincere. It's a scrimmage for crying out loud. How about trying to find out who else can run the point. How about trying Dunn Martin running the point and Norman and Buckley at the two. Is Dunn Martin really just a shooting guard at 5'8" ? Buckley seemed comfortable out there, give him more minutes in the scrimmage. WVU was using everyone, even players that they probably are going to redshirt. Is Ellis that far behind that he can not get a few minutes ? I was not impressed at all with this scrimmage, and I really did not care about the outcome or score. I just wanted to see improvement and some players we have not seen yet. I did not see much improvement as I previously stated and would of liked to see Ellis. Offline Yah, I was disappointed as I didn’t see any improvement with Hughes. Coach keeps saying he is out of shape. Heck, he was out of shape last year. On the guard thing I also wish he would have put the kid in from Virginia for Sincere for a while and was also wondering why none of the other kids got a chance. I’m looking forward to the game tonight as Princeton will not be a pushover. Offline I think KD wanted a win. Offline Cant believe i pay to watch this. 🤮🤮🤮 Offline Disappointing start but things picking up a bit. Duquesne is getting more success driving / pounding it down low rather than settling for outside shots. Need to pick up the defensive intensity. Offline They needed me to complain. 😁 Offline Definitely won that 6 minute segment (9:44 - 3:30 in the first half) to tie it up. Much better mix of inside/outside game & driving the ball on the offensive side + much better defensive effort. Offline They needed me to complain. 😁 Works every time! Offline Defense leaves a lot to be desired. Offline Great halftime segment on Chuck Cooper. I presume that will be shown many times throughout the season. Offline Defense leaves a lot to be desired. Yea, only time they seemed to pick it up was that 6 minute segment Duquesne came back. Princeton getting the ball down low too many times. Offline This is turning out to be a nice little game. Offline This is turning out to be a nice little game. Woah, I'd say. I had to step away since halftime. Dombrat must have made some serious halftime adjustments. Offline Tremendous second half there. Bailey Steele looks like a heck of a pick up. Keep shooting like that and this team has a chance to be very good. Offline Steele looks like a real fine pick up based on what I saw in the first half. I just looked up his bio and was surprised to see he's from my home state of Iowa. Don't see that too often in PA hoops. Offline I was horrified halfway through the first half. What a turnaround! Offline What a great defensive effort, and turn around, by the Dukes in the second half against a good Princeton team. Go Dukes! Offline Nice comeback. Nice crowd. Solid effort. KD is building a full roster of guys who can contribute more than just minutes or fouls. Nice to see Rotroff get some run. Kelly was moving around in warmups(not in uniform). F Hughes has full brace and crutches. Steele should free up m hughes. Austin and Norman will have explosive games sooner than later. Norman is cat quick. Princeton isnt a bad team. Offline I actually talked to Sincere about 6 weeks ago and I asked him about his knees. He told me that the surgery fixed the problem and his knees are 100% and he said that he should have no knee issues whatsoever this season. I hope he is correct.

Re: Game Thread - Princeton Tigers
1. Shoot the ball, especially the three. High 30s will win the Dukes a lot of games.
2. Rebound. The effort was there against the muscular guys in the charity game. Make that translate.
3. Play the big lineup. Dukes were even when two bigs played.
4. Marcus has to be visible. Foul trouble hindered him but he was pretty non-existent on the defensive end, especially rebounding.
5. Less dribbling by Sincere. Too often he tried to go through two guys.
6. Be aggressive with good shots. Couple of quick ones really hurt the comeback more than once.
7 Shoot the ball!
Go Dukes!

Always look forward to your game day data. Out of everything that is always posted here, your information is #1.
Different Topic: We talked about this last year...Coach has to stop playing Sincere 45 minutes a game (It was a joke!). I know they are thin now, and we know his knees had some surgery, but he just can't keep doing that. I even thought he played him too much against WVU. It was an exhibition game for Heaven's sake. His obsession with playing him, if he doesn't lighten up on the minutes, is going to cause a problem at least mid-way through the season. His knees won't hold up all year. You heard it here first!!!

That would give DU some prestige and momentum
going into the Princeton game. Perhaps more media coverage.
The Dukes are a 6 1/2 point favorite for today up from an opening
5 1/2 which I find interesting. Bettors must see something in the Dukes.
I agree about SC-those knees will hurt in Feb if he continues playing all those minutes.

It would be great to show progress shots on the UPMC Cooper field house construction periodically throughout the season.
