Since the league had 6 new coaches last year, over half the league now has first or second year head coaches.
Depending upon results this coming year, some hard decisions may be forthcoming next year for Dayton, Saint Louis, Richmond, Saint Joseph’s and Duquesne.

VCU replaces Mike Rhoades (Penn State) with Ryan Odom.
The craziness of the portal is emphasized now since the entire VCU team is in the portal including Ace Baldwin player of year.

And…. Will Holmes return to Dayton?

VCU lost a lot more than Baldwin, their entire starting five and George Mason lost their top four players. Dayton lost two of their top 6 players and not done yet. You mentioned St Louis. That’s four of the teams that finished ahead of us, the lone team left that finished ahead of us is Fordham. If we can’t finish in the top three next year that would be a disgrace. Plus it is looking like a one bid team again next year for the A-10.

I think it is waaaaay too early to be making this kind of statement/prediction. You only need to look as far as the Dukes being picked last for this past season to understand that nobody has any idea what kind of teams the portal will yield. This was true a month before the season & is at least doubly true 7 months before next season.
