Based on yesterday, I assumed he wouldn't play . This is at least the 4th straight opponent for the Dukes that will be missing an important
piece. I wish Sincere nothing but good fortune but I'll take just about any advantage that is available.

In year’s past there has always been built in excuses for Dukes teams. Experience, injuries, poor seed, bad match ups, facing a hot team etc. None of that applies this year. Dukes are:
1. Very experienced (5 or more seniors)
2. Very healthy
3. Secured a bye
4. Nice match up
5. Dukes are the hot team
The Dukes have a team built to be successful in a tournament too. They play great defense and they have not one but 2 go-to guys who can take over a game. The only thing they don’t have going for them is history. That changes today.
Is it wrong of me to wish some misfortune on Daron Holmes? Nothing serious, maybe some food poisoning, or Covid exposure?

Well Phil, I think you may have jinxed it. This is whistle city! Calling a much tighter game than any tournament game I’ve watched to this point. Fairly consistent for the most part.

Terrible free throw shooting.
2-7 isn't going to get it done especially when you shoot half of the amount of free throws as the other team.

Not looking for style points here; just survive and advance. Defense broke down after Clark picked up his 2nd foul- Dukes gave up 25 points in the last 10 minutes of the half.

Refs doing everything they can to keep this close. Billikens up to 22 free throws. We have shot a lot less but we keep missing them. Need Clark back in asap.
Grant making his frustrations with the official known just before the timeout. Stay in the game Dukes! Control the controllables.
