I agree with these posts. Let's just grab the best paycheck we can for 1 game only. Zero or 1 lower division game only. I realize that really narrows the field, but as was pointed out, why not Dayton and Fordham? Use our A10 leverage somehow. We communicate with these teams a lot. I've got a personal one, Bucknell. We had a great football and basketball rivalry on the brink of happening, and now we don't play them in either sport. How would a game together not be a good thing for both of them? Just get it done.

Isn't the first day of official practice, like Oct. 15? I would say the Dukes are going to have to know which way the wind is blowing on this by then. Or, what to do you then?

I would be OK with Benz and Zaslau. I mostly agree about Buono, but he was put in almost impossible situations to show any enthusiasm. I would be OK with him getting a second chance, maybe on the women's games. Frankly, Alex P. is really decent for football but is way out of his element for basketball. My only absolute NO is Loose Cannon.

What happened to Jake? Did I miss something?

Scoreboard watching today-- Davidson at Dayton (4PM/ESPN2). I'm looking for Davidson to get the win, I guess, since we have Davidson at home and Dayton on the road coming up. We went from a 3-way tie for 5th to a 3-way tie for 4th at the end of today. Progress! I really think a 3-way tie for 3rd is not out of the question for us either. It's really fun to be in the mix.

Tied for 5th place with Dayton and Davidson. I'll sure take it.
