Agree that a redesign of the lion (given our ring) or the Duke but please not the big headed Steely McBeam type. There has to be something in between

Just received an updated email stating that the event is a dinner.  Feel better about that opportunity.

Men's Basketball » Celebration of DU Basketball » 4/08/2024 9:22 am

Soooo.... we get the privilege of paying $100 to celebrate a wonderful year and coach’s tenure after decades of supporting a crappy program.  I can understand “strike while the iron’s hot” and doing some fund raising but c’mon man.  Thank you for your support 🙄

Men's Basketball » Anybody know the place and time for Drus press conference? » 4/01/2024 11:55 am

Men's Basketball » Mossie Cheer » 3/25/2024 12:52 pm

YES! The wonderful visual of him jumping up and down and the stomping of feet.  I can see it and feel it.  Like we are back there. What a great discussion.
This has to happen next year.  Keep his spirit alive.

I don’t post much as I don’t know the intricacies of the game like most of you but have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts and thoughts for years.  Thank you all.  And thank you to coach, players, Dave Harper, President Gormley, alum and fans for an unforgettable year.   Having been at the loss in 71, this has been a dream come true.  Let’s go Dukes!

Men's Basketball » Mossie Cheer » 3/25/2024 10:49 am

LOL you are right kcc.  He would great frustrated and yell it out again.  Of course everyone did not want to disappoint.  It was glorious.  The whole arena would get into it. Some disagree and believe we need something new.  But, It is a quirky, energizing cheer.  Even Mossie’s daughter would like to see it back per FB.  Could it be an individual in the stands (stew?) or a video of Mossie?  Maybe AI could work it’s magic

Men's Basketball » Mossie Cheer » 3/25/2024 9:38 am

Thanks for the memories. Totally agree with CLK’s version of the cheer. My only other recollection was that he would start with “Are you ready?”   Maybe I’m just dreaming that

Men's Basketball » Light blue heart on unis » 2/06/2023 7:48 pm

Anyone know what the light blue heart stands for on the Dukes uniforms at the GW game?  Surprised to see it.  Let’s go Dukes!

Men's Basketball » Game Thread - George Washington University Colonials » 2/05/2023 6:01 pm

What a great game for the Dukes!  Maybe this was asked or discussed earlier but does anyone know what the light blue heart on their jersey signifies?  Thanks

Very sorry to hear.  Sad indeed. Prayers to friends and family.  RIP Bleeds Red and Blue.  Thank you for letting us know CLK.

Thanks to everyone for the link and other posts!  PSN, The Trib and DK SportsPittsburgh have done a great job with covering the games and other stories to keep us all up to date and excited about the Dukes.  As Levon1975 said, we need to look at all of our sources as the PG is pathetic.  70’s grad and long time season ticket holder here.  Daily reader and rarely post as you all have much more detailed insight than I.  I just enjoy the games an seeing what you all have to say.  Thank you!  Go Dukes!

Men's Basketball » Game Thread - University of California Santa Barbara Gauchos » 11/30/2022 12:26 pm

Great game last night.  Fun to be at.  Too bad so many in the area missed it.  The guys work hard and play so well as a team.  Been some really nice non-PG coverage, all season really.  So sick of the massive coverage the PG gives Pitt.  I get that the A10 is not the ACC and there are many more Pitt graduates in the area.  But seriously - the Dukes maybe get a sniff in the morning briefs even when Pitt isn’t playing.  I have emailed Ryan Winn twice about it and get the usual BS about their market and being short staffed.  Even though the Dukes got a mini headline this morning, the wire story had the wrong score and the venue was listed as the UPMC ROONEY Fieldhouse.  At least proofread what you are publishing.  I am not convinced that we will get coverage when they win more.  There are some great stories there.  Like Dae Dae.  The PG needs to be a NEWS paper and not just a Pitt News....paper.  Ok I’m done. 😀

Men's Basketball » Game Thread - St. Bonaventure Bonnies (H) » 1/21/2022 10:21 pm

Awesome atmosphere tonight!  Students were out in force and having a great time.  Hope they come back.  The guys played well.  Again a big/power forward short of a load.  Osunniyi just kills us.  21/17 is crazy.  His follow dunks is such a back breaker.  Bona had a whole section behind their bench but I think they were maybe a little nervous and the students drowned them out.  Dukes worked it in more in second half.  Tre had a nice game at 15/11.  Lots of fun but way too many not wearing masks.

Glad you are better A83.  Hope it wasn’t serious.  Heal!

Men's Basketball » Jackie Johnson III A10 Rookie Of The Week » 1/10/2022 3:15 pm

Way to go Jackie!  Impressive indeed.  He and Primo have stepped up.
A 10 will be challenging but they will be up for it.  Fun to watch.  Takes my breath away when he hoists it up from so far out sometimes but he sure has the confidence.
Go Dukes!

I would say that I am a B- or a C+  😂.  Solidly watch/follow the Dukes but watch other A10 teams and others nationally.

Thanks Tejas.  I have been reading for years and have learned a lot.  Just don’t post often as I don’t have the basketball IQ as most of you.  But I really enjoy it.  Happy New Year!  Go Dukes!

Happy New Year everyone!
