I had a great time in Omaha.  Had occasion to meet AD and new coach and several of the kids.  I could go on with this or that, but all this chatter about Lebron?  No one here knows that he’s anything but a friend and a fan. I have very wealthy powerful friends in my business, but that’s what they are. What is it - he sent shoes?  And thus you assume he’s a major donor, or sending his kids to   Duquesne.  Get real.  The whole Lebron thing is in your head not his or our perfectly capable new coach’s.

You know, somewhere there must be a video or film of Mossie in action. And in these days of AI it might be possible to reconstruct the whole shebang.  As in on the video boards at the Coop.   I  mean nobody minds that the actual band Styx doesn’t play at Steelers games.  Actually, such a recreation could be done several ways.   Hmm.

The cheerleaders did not lead the cheer in Omaha.   A fan just below me did.  He didn’t quite get it right, but doing it was so right. He got the already rocking crowd rolling.  Congrats to him and all those in Omaha. I still cannot talk being horse from the games.

We are here.  We tore it up as fans.  We greeted the Dukes off the bus at the hotel.  We are here Saturday. Come. And by the way, come down to the bar and announce yourself. I am the guy with grey hair with my buddy Norm Nixon.

For those of us from a different era, tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day.  Duquesne was made to help the underclass, such as my peeps.  We’ll see how it goes. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀.

Dusted off the old login in just to celebrate with all of you - infrequent poster, big reader. What a win!
Quoting this message because I'm assuming you lived on Van Braam? - I lived at 42 (the pink house) my junior and some of senior year. Back then at certain points of the weekend (and let’s be honest, many weekdays) I started referring to myself as Jean Claude Van Braam...those were the days. That house was legendary.

I didn’t live on Van Braam.  I lived IN the Van Braam.  From Micky Davis to Norman being the first to touch the ceiling with both hands!

There building high end condos on the the VB land.  I’m moving in just after I pass.  Does this make up for losing to Georgia Tech in 70?

The refs took over at the 5 minute mark, and that’s the end of that.

I wondered when the “hating” as my daughter would say would re-commence. I’m busy watching us hold another team to 60 or less points on our way to our third straight win. Go Dukes! We believe!

Relax its not hating. Stop looking for a fight. I know you love to bait. When your boy Dambrot gets us to the tourney I'd love for you to throw into my face believe me. Been waiting for 48 years now. I was courtside three days straight for the Eastern Eight tourney as a 12 year old skipping school and watching the Dukes beat Penn State, UMass, and Villanova at the Philadelphia spectrum to get to the NCAA tourney in 76. Sat next to Norm Nixon and Debbie Allen watching the West Va and UMass game after the Dukes beat PSU in the first round. Norm had the flu, but was gracious enough to autograph a 3X5 card and let me and my brothers down in the locker room when they beat Villanova in the final. Very cool time.

I question that you sat next to Debbie Allen during the
Eastern Eight tournament. In 1977 when the tournament happened (not 76) she was busy in NY and LA with a tv, movie and stage career. She was also married to a Win Wilford at the time. Norm. was a full time student/athlete at Duquesne. When exactl;y did they hook up? At 12 years old did you really know who Debbie Allen was? Maybe you remembered her from the two part episode of Good Times playing J J's fiancee, diana.

Ms. Allen met Mr. Nixon years later during the filming of “The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh.”  I know this because I was there; moreover, I introduced them.
