The Red Ring was a staple for Dukes and Pens games.  I'll miss it for sure.

I think the chances of Bronny coming are almost non-existent.  I almost would rather he doesn't.  Seems like Lebron and KD/Dru have a good relationship right now and I think the chances are greater of that getting worse rather than improving if he played at DU.  Lebron has done a lot for the program just with his influence as noted above and if he keeps doing that, I would be happy.

In looking at the materials for Homecoming in October I noticed something about a major announcement they plan to make on Saturday evening.  Any idea what that relates to?

HookShot - I hadn't heard of those two road games but thinking about it now it makes sense we would likely play Penn State on the road since we hosted this past year (although technically i guess it was a "neutral" site).

Duq81 - I think it makes sense to play Bobby Mo but I know KD does not want to play them at their place.  There was a time a few years ago where we played WVU, Pitt and RMU.  I liked playing those local schools.  College basketball has complicated itself and won't allow those type of schedules to be played any more.

I think realistically that you are right and we will have to hit the road quite a bit this year but a guy can dream.

Love this question.  From what I can gather from this site we know the following:
Bahamas (3 games)
St Pete (2 games)?
Cleveland Showcase (1 game)?
@ Marshall

That leaves 6 for home if I have all that right but again I'm piecing together things people have said.
OOC Home:
1.) Opener: No better way to start a season than taking on a cupcake.  Bring on a 250+ team.
2.) MAC School: Middle of the pack will do fine.
3.) Big 10 Bottom Feeder: I think Pitt might host Iowa this year so perhaps catch them while they are in town.  If it's not Iowa it will be a team near the bottom of the Big 10 so they might be up for a game at PPG.
4.) Ivy League: Cornell was a CBI team so that seems like a good fit.
5.) Patriot League: No one in particular here.  I sort of like a matchup with Bucknell though.
6.) Former A-10 Rival: See if Temple, Charlotte or Xavier are up to play at the paint can.

Is this set in stone?  Bahamas and St Pete?  Also, can someone explain the reference to Cleveland?Who knows from there.  Can you play 13 OOC games?  We had that this year but had that exempt tournament.  In any event, the Bahamas thing is 3 games, St Pete is 2, Cleveland is 1, @Marshall is 1.  Hopefully we can have a few home games in the OOC.

I wanted to get thoughts on the reasoning behind rejecting an invitation.  I'm guessing Coach D must think the team is worn out.  I heard him say its at least NIT or bust but I can't understand the rationale for that.  Must be more to the story.  Could you imagine if they went on a run and won the CIT what that would do for the fan base and confidence?  Considering they beat a number of the teams in the CBI or CIT (and is more than capable of beating NJIT) I can't understand the logic.

Hey sorry for being ignorant on this one but did we get invited to the Battle for Atlantis?  I saw the reference to the Bahamas tournament.

I'm proud of the Dukes and the season they had but this one stings.  In fact the last few weeks of the season sting.  They ran out of depth and gas which hurt them but this team talks about not getting enough respect and these are the games they need to win to get it.  I won't harp on that because I'm sour now after that loss.

St. Joes played one heck of a game and some good individual efforts from the Dukes at times.  That's why they have a next year I guess.

I have a suspicion that we will see two guys leave the program at the end of the season.  One big and one guard.  At the beginning of the season during all the rotation I would have said more given some negative body language.  However, the team has come together well.  That being said at the last couple of games that I've attended there are two guys that jump out to me as possible transfers.  Won't name names but I think there is a chance we will have another scholarship available.

This might belong on the recruiting post as well.  Maceo Austin was sitting next to James Ellis at the game today.  Looked like they were both talking to players on the bench.  I saw Sincere come over at one point and talk to both.  Love the team chemistry that is forming and can't wait for next year.

I can't make the game tonight.  Anyone want my tickets for free?  I work downtown and could meet to drop them off.

What are thoughts on the attention that the game drew Duquesne?  The game was trending on multiple outlets.  If the game ends any other way (no matter who won) you would not hear a peep on ESPN, etc.

I don't love the outburst but at least KD wants to win and showed his players he has their back.  A lot of the outlets I saw made mention to how close the game was throughout evidencing the growing competitiveness of the program.  I'm not saying I agree that he should have lost his mind but I don't think the story line a few weeks from now will be what a disgrace the outburst and ending to the game was.  We may remember it differently once we are able to distance ourselves from last night.
