C'mon, face it, we were definitely outcoached. We had the superior talent with a superior bench. What do you expect from a coach with no head coaching experience what so ever? Just James' money, The longer it goes without one of these guys committing the less likely it is one of them will commit. KD used to get these guys to commit pretty quickly as he was a closer. I have heard Terry Weigand and another coach were fired. This means there is a new group in charge of these visits and the pitch. Terry seemed very experienced, the kids liked him, and he could relate to parents. If this is true that two coaches were fired, this is a disappointment. The coach not mentioned had a load of experience, including 6 trips to the NCAAs, one of which was the championship game under Calipari, and two to the NIT. i paid for espn+, so I will watch, just wondering what way the Dukes will invent to lose. Seems we are in every game as of late, but fumble away the chance for the W. Necas????? What radio station can we pick up the game on? Radio: 104.7 HD2 / iHeartRadio App with Ray Goss ('58) & Jarrett Durham ('71) Terrible coverage. Crazy game and fantastic finish. I wish we all could have seen it. We were lucky to hear it instead of a commercial, That's the truth, those commercials just ran anytime they wanted, regardless of the game. Switched to Bradley's network, so much better. College sports is going to hell. I thought we decided after an earlier game not to inbound it to Dixon with the game on the line. You ae so right, and UCI seen it right away. So why did Loyola Chicago join the A10? It’s funny to me that people are upset about this result or act like it’s unexpected. Literally, how could you not know we would be one and out? What the hell has Joyce done? Nothing. Great game by our bigs as many have mentioned. How about 6 assists from Williams! That alone shows his development throughout this season. When his inside game is flowing and he is able to see the floor and pass out of the post like that, he is a very very tough player for teams to deal with. Good win on the road. Time for the Davidson Wildcats who seem to have found their way as of late. Go Dukes! Yes, it was Williams best game. He got to the basket inside and got some decent scores. And he dished out when he couldn't. His defense was great. LaSalle is a very improved team lately and this was a big win for the Dukes. What about the 2 or 3 open layups he missed? I also question his help defense. If you ck back on the game, most of his points, assists and rebounds came in the later stage of the game. How many free throws did he miss? Ray, after checking the stats like you asked, this is what I have found. According to the +/-, Brewer had a -13 and Rozier had a +7. Jimerson should never beat you on the dribble, unless you are flat footed. Give me a source for those stats please as the eye test showed different. St. Louis had 30 layups tonight. No team wins with that defenseless effort. The only reason the Dukes stuck around was because of their 3 point shooting which won't get any better than that, but they still lost. 90 points allowed against USL? Really? When was the last time USL scored that many in an A-10 game? I don't fault the players and effort I fault the system and substitution patterns. Should have pressed early and often when up by double figures. Played right into their hands. Like I told my wife Diane, Dambrot is keeping USL around by not pressing. She agreed. Not rocket science. When it was a fifteen point game and they went into their halfcourt offense I said to Diane it will be a one point game by half. Was a point off. Hope i'm wrong, but this guy will ever take this program to an NIT bid let alone an NCAA bid. I do believe Joyce would be a great replacement though. And Joyce did what????? First half was great to see. Gunn's sharpshooting was essential in breaking the game open. Second half wasn't Random thought on last night's game: Great comments, but the chemistry is not only with the freshmen as other combinations are not in sync. Dixon does need to be the backup center. Second half was a fing joke. What did KD talk about at half time? 51 points in the first half, 22 in the second half. One thing we did do, is make Quinn a all A10. Your joking right? Hima is averaging approx. 10 minutes a game at Syracuse as a Soph.? He is in every game? Want to pick on a dud that left DU. Then find one. Hima is in every game for a Power 5 team? Look it up. I just did. Austin doesn't get as much time for DU as Hima for Syracuse? So what was your point? KD couldn't or wouldn't play him? As for KD's freshman, they are nearly not off the bench at this point in conf. play? So again, tell me how our freshmen did in the last game or how well KD coached them up? Dixon, zero, Barre 7 junk minutes? Hima? Really? Between Hima's time in games for Syracuse, and our freshman, I'd rather be Hima? Agreed. The assist/turnover situation was very impressive. Totally agree with your comment in regards to the substitutions preventing rhythm on offense. Seems like the Dukes go on a roll and KD makes subs that interrupts the continuity and rhythm of the offense. Need to get this W tonight, and then get healthy and prepare for better opponents ahead. UCSB, Marshall, DePaul are just a few of what should be solid tests. They are all at home, so thats nice. ESPN+ has been excellent to date. Now lets move on to North Florida, any data on them, other than they are 1-2, beat South Carolina State by 6. . Seems as though they withstood the pressure when Colgate tied the game at 55, they didn't fold, a sign of a team effort. ANY media coverage? 1 of 1

So I guess Dambrot retires and the brilliant AD just hands the keys over to Dru Joyce.
This school is an absolute joke. From the President to atheism AD to the coaches. A pathetic joke.Men's Basketball » Game Thread - La Salle University Explorers » 2/23/2023 12:12 pm

More interesting numbers for the rest of us. While it felt like they killed us in transition, they had 17 fast break points to our 16. It wasn’t even the second chance points that really killed us. They had 20 to our 11.
Hard not to love the fight from our Dukes. We dared Jimerson to beat us on the dribble and he was up for the challenge. Also, some of their other guys (Hughes and Pickett) made some big time shots that normally don’t. SLU have to feel like they got away with one tonight.

1. Grant didn't take Richmond, Richmond took Grant out of the game. We cannot win if Grant is going to play 34 minutes and only score 3 points. Grant is a very different player on the road.
2. Was it the officiating or did Richmond just out tough us in the second half? The A10 officiating in general ruin the game by calling so many fouls on minimal or incidental contact. So different from watching other league officiating. It favors the team that drives the ball, that is not a secret. So the coaches need to factor that into their game plan.
3. There are certain combinations of freshman that never should be on the court together. Dambrot needs to figure that out. Bad chemistry.
4. Dixon should be our backup center, and never be a DNP again as long as he is healthy.
5. If Rozier is ever going to be an effective A10 PG he has to have the confidence to take and make wide open three-point shots.
6. That last shot by Richmond never should have happened. It sure looked like Burton traveled to me, even after watching it 10 times. Men's Basketball » Game Thread - University of Richmond Spiders » 1/07/2023 8:32 pm

If you really believe this, then ditch Comcast's ESPN Plus for the
ACC channel and their conference games. With all his minutes more than
Austin, Hima is still averaging a whopping 1.7 pts per game. WOW! Look it up. I did. My point is simple. Duquesne lost nothing when Hima left. What did a power 5 school get. 1.7 pts per game. Again, I say WOW!Men's Basketball » Game Thread - University of Rhode Island Rams » 1/01/2023 11:39 am

The perimeter defense was once again crap. The difference today was that a poor 3pt shooting team shot predictably poorly.
Having a solid win after losing to Dayton is a positive sign for the program & the unity of the team. Plenty of teams striving to avoid mediocrity would have dropped this one. Not this group.
Gunn & Rozier are clearly KD's favorites.
I feel like the substitutions for the first 30 minutes of game time were preventing rhythm on offense.
This team is much better when they aggressively pursue early offense. KD seems to want this but the guys appear to avois doing it for much of the games. That is an odd trait in basketball players.
I was very impressed with how the guys on the floor closed out the last 3 minutes. It has been ages since I could write that about a conference game.
Have to find a way to beat VCU on Wednesday!
