I would be happy to see everybody return. The one addition I would love to see is Micheal Weathers at pg. He is outstanding and better than his brother. Not sure if he could play next year but that would give the team the best chance to get into the A10 top 3.

I am not as high on Acuff as this board. I think he has a role but I don't see him as an immediate impact player. Harris and Kelly seem to have athletic upside but it does not translate to games...or has not yet. I would not give up on either. Hima needs to be a back-up next year while he gains strength and learns the speed of the college game. Bakelja is the perfect back-up pg. Not everyone is a star...he would give the starter 8-10 minutes of solid play. I like him as the long term back-up. TDM needs to be instant energy and offense off the bench. If you look at my initial post 4 years ago you will see the same analysis. KD can use him as needed...a lot more minutes when he is on and less when he is not. I believed he will be far more effective with less minutes and less ball handling responsibilities.

Roesling and Maceo have not lived up to expectations yet but I still believe in both....I think they have big futures.

IMO....next year the Dukes get over the hump.

One more thing...you can win with projects, young guys developing and "look see" guys at all positions except pg. You can't fall apart for those 8-10 minutes a game. It us far better to have a solid guy who is the back-up that you can count on every game to allow your star starter to get a rest to keep him fresh. You may not be impressed with MB's upside...he is the perfect back-up and seems ready to accept that role. I hope he returns.

D Snyder, you've obviously picked up that DU disease goin around Pgh for nigh 40 years now:  you know the one that always ends in "wait til next year!"  Always enjoy your posts though and respect your BB IQ.  The stubborn fact is that KD has unfortunately returned DU to its apparent r

In what conference do you compete for a championship with 6-8 center and 6-5 pwr frwrd?  Leave the touchy-feely behind, coach.

A great time in front of great fan base of near 10,000. and on the road while Oscar and Co. had their way all night long. Wonderful experience out of the chute for DU and coaches.  Do ya think KD now has their attention?  Build on this for 2019/20 though obvious KD's continued over-recruiting must bring in better players.  Pretty evident none of the DU starting 5 on level class with Mounties in that environment.

Wait, what??? Why would anyone be concerned over Kapernick's lack of job?  He is a divisive, anti American disrespectful bigot.  He and the NFL lost me when they allowed Kapernick to wear socks with pigs dressed as police officers, and at the same time did not allow the Dallas Cowboys to wear patches on their uniforms honoring police officers who died to protect protestors.

Having said that, I really do not care what Nike or the NFL does.  People and have the right to express their opinions, and companies can run their businesses any way the want.

Amen!

“Everyone’s going to talk regardless,” sophomore center Mike Hughes (12.3 points per game and 14 blocks in the past three games) said of energy surrounding the program. “Everyone talked bad about us a couple months ago when we lost to the people across the street (actually, I think it was one person). So there’s no need to feed into the energy that’s on the outside."

Seems to be a rather cheap shot of a board contributor.  Please delete.

As I was watching live with my 11 year old daughter I said, just before it was called, that he was going to get "teed-up". He was cussing, ranting, jumping a bit, & clearly out of the box.

Earning the second T, his needing to be physically restrained by both coaches & players, & failure to leave the floor like a gentleman were, in my opinion, a horrible example for his team & an embarrassment to the program. His unacceptable behaviour was exacerbated by his lack of humility & accountabilty in his post-game comments. He did not ACT like a champion. It is one of the few times I can recall a basketball coach taking definitive, specific action that resulted in a team losing its opportunity to compete for victory.

I have lost count of the friends & haters that have contacted me today to ask WTF. There has been plenty of press to make KD out to be a raving lunatic. Even Deadspin picked it up.)

Before last night I suspected  the coincidental conclusion of EW's lesson learning before the most winnable of meaningful games was more about winning than teaching. I now know KD is way more interested in winning than developing. Put that together with his poor judgement at Central Michigan, on-air bullying of Ray, & last night's unfortunate events & you have a guy I probably don't like.

Having written that, I really don't care if he is likeable or not. He is a very good coach & this program is lucky to have him. Provided he doesn't break any laws or get in trouble with the NCAA, I am super-high on Coach Dambrot. I just expect more from a guy that is 60 & is being paid 7 figures to be the face of the program.

This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I not only like the new black uniforms, I'd like to see the uniforms/color scheme changed permanently when we move into the Cooper Field House. It would look like a fresh new start of something big. Just sayin'.

No argument here and all championships during past 50 glorious years in Red n Blue?

Looking ahead is a sure fire recipe for losers - just ask Dambrot, Everhart, Manning, Dudey and Chick D.  I'll enjoy the ride, instead.

Just a rejoinder to those thinking EW had a "bad game" at ND. Nonsense. He, once again, led his team in boards and solid D as well helped keep DU in game with chance to pull it out.  When the youngsters uncharacteristically became tentative under the bright lights at South Bend he responded as any good leader on the court does forcing the offense, sometimes to a fault.

Hughes may be the best player on the team at this point, with Eric Williams neck and neck with him. Dambrot remarked after the game that he was glad to see Hughes hit a couple shots from the block/short corner.

I've been disappointed with Wade over a few games now and think he needs work.

I'm amazed, I don't think I've seen him miss one one of these mid range corner jump shots yet. He can be a treat at times to watch operate on offense, but I don't think we can expect Hughes to light up and get 15 points often, but his disruption and rim protection underneath on D I think is what really stands out to me.

I liked what I saw from Amari for the 1st time yesterday. Lots of turnovers/fouls unfortunately, but he showed ability on offense and defense to be worth minutes. It's hard to teach that kind of length.

I'd also agree on Wade, hopefully he can learn a bit while riding some pine

Whoa doggy - nothing wrong with Wade.
