Big one!! I really like this team. This group, this coaching staff. Why didn't they call TO after the missed free throw on the sequence Weathers went to the hoop when they needed a 3? The turnout and atmosphere for the Dayton game was excellent.
Friday night I was at the Kent State-Akron game. Great rivalry, a great game and a sellout.
I guess I was hoping/ expecting too much for La Salle.

I was at the Kent State-Central Michigan game.
Followed DU-GW on my phone.
ESPN+ uses local folks for all of their telecasts.

Relentless defense, didn't fold when Davidson got their offense going.
Norman's 3 was a monster.
Austin does not seem to get flustered. Did not let the airballs impact his defense.

You can spin it any way you want but Williams transfer is a gut punch. Don't think for one minute he wasn't contacted by a P5. Mid-Majors are now the Altoona Curve for the big boys and the big money.
I also follow Ohio U and Kent State. ( my kids go there) and in the past two years both programs have had established players " transfer" to Michigan, Xavier and Illinois. I'm sick of it but as long as the P5 get their players and their money from the networks and shoe companies the NCAA doesn't give a crap.

10 Conference wins and the ongoing process of changing the culture.
The injuries to Rotroff and Kelly really hurt. Didn't have much depth to begin with.
It's not going to happen overnight.
I'd like to see a stronger non-Conference schedule next year.

All things considered ,man am I proud of these kids, the coaching staff and the loyal fans.
You folks have been Duquesne hoops fan MUCH longer than I have.
I admire your loyalty and your tenacity.
This program is relevant. It is real and it is only going to get better.
I will take "ugly" wins like today. Imagine that...we are calling wins " ugly".

They too are in a transition period politically ( opposite of the Post-Gazette) but I'll stick to sports.
Aside from Benz they seem to be staffed by a bunch of high school level writers.
It's amateur hour and news/sports they don't " cover" they supplement with Associated Press filler.
I emailed their sports department Saturday night to remind them that "Duquesne has a basketball team."
