Clark is their catalyst and the most dangerous Duke, but Grant isn't far behind if he's playing his A game. Clark will make 2nd or 3rd all conference, Grant doesn't deserve it, but believe me I root for him. He plays hard.

Grant 33% from 3 pt this year compared with I think 43% last year.  Are they not running plays to get him open looks, or just an off year?

Funny that we are all fairly disappointed in how the season has gone, but 8-3 since the 0-5 start, and only the Davidson home loss was a bad loss.  At Dayton and at Fordham are the others.  Its been said by many, but I wish KD would go to to bigger lineup, with more Mahorcic, Savrasov, Necas and Drame(s), and theyd have a better shot in the tourney

When I got mine two months ago the Dayton game did not appear on the website and seemed to be unavailable.  I called, got tix and asked about that, and was told they did not list the game on the site for the purpose of trying to avoid the situation you mentioned.  I guess it didn’t work.

Real nice game from Savrasov and Dixon, combined 27 pts, 12 bounds, 6 blocks and 4 steals.  It's encouraging to beat a quality team without Grant or Clark having one of their frequent stellar games.

Looking forward to the much improved depth up front, defense and rebounding will improve, but hope there's enough minutes to keep everyone happy. As promising as the transfers are,I'd like to see Barre and especially Dixon establish themselves. I think the conerns about guard will be addressed by Kaillon Nicholls and his huge vertical leap and wing span.

First day to buy individual games, and I noticed the Dayton game wasn’t listed.  I called them and was told they did that with the goal of preventing Dayton from taking half the seats.  They made this a "call only" game, and I was able to get tickets. So if you're interested you must call.

That is a good question. According to this schedule that Zach Weiss tweeted all of our home games are either on TV or streaming on ESPN+ 
There are however several away games that show neither. I sure hope this is an oversight.

Thanks CLK.  Yes, only makes sense that ESPN+ will cover them all if they had every game of that horrific 21-22 season.

Trying to view the new system more optimistically, they have certainly found a way to exploit the "free agency" era the last 2 years.  In addition, a top 4 finish would seem to make Duquesne a more attractive option for elite Freshmen, so maybe they can benefit both ways, portal and Freshmen.

Agreed, Reece and Gunn 20 shots, but 12 were 3 pointers, and Reece (27% career) shouldn't ever take one, let alone 4 of his 8 shots. Rotroff 0 shots.  I'm surprised they didn’t try to go Reece inside a little where he's strong, especially when they had all cooled off.  They missed Tre.  Nice game from Dixon, dreaming of 4 years from him and Barre.

A large part of the problem is the lack of depth.  Rotroff not healthy enough to contribute much, Kelly and F. Hughes out all year, Ellis and the two freshmen not playing (I'm not saying they should be).  I thought Steele would be more of a force up front.  Plus EW leaving.  I think I (we?) underestimated these losses with the 10-0 / 15-2 start vs. mostly weak competition.

If Andre Harris is in fact coming  with the two freshmen, a healthy Kelly, etc., I still think they can move to the top 4 in A 10. Can't recall which ones, but a few of the top teams have some key seniors leaving.

No doubt about that. We saw the heart of this team a bunch of times last year. They were pushing on the broadcast how we've come back from double digits four times this year too, but I hadn't seen that same heart yet this season. Fighting back from down 19 against a great offensive team takes some serious cojones. Even if it came up short, you've gotta love to see that.

Considering the good and bad of this game, I came away pleased. Weathers is really coming on strong, and a good game from Hughes. A few bad stretches but that is basketball, especially against a top 10.  Bottom line is they looked like they belong....The lack of depth is really a problem When 4 players take 49 of 59 FG attempts.  The lack of Frankie, Kelly, a fully healthy Rotroff and loss of EW hurts.  The bright side is they have improved every year under KD, and it seems a certainty that they will be better next year with the freshmen coming in and losing only Steele. Lots of students last night.
